It’s been over a year of living in isolation, in a rural part of Minnesota nowhere near friends— I’ve been hitting the pandemic-wall of depression I believe we’re collectively being confronted with at various times of our experience. One of my remedies is to consume myself with things that I know will make happy. Rainbows and the sun have a way of doing that.

This piece was made during a two week period of depression, intense cloud cover, and cold rain in northwestern Minnesota in March.
