I won’t pretend to know much about crystals or to sign my name onto the belief system just yet, but I cannot deny the magnetism some stones dug up from the earth have on me. Maybe, being Portland resident long enough, it’s an inevitability my love for rocks would turn me a crystal girlie.

I chose carnelian because its vibrant and energizing coloring is mesmerizing to me and its description, “helps to overcome feelings of inadequacy, anger, and fear” is quite compelling as someone who struggles with incessant imposter syndrome.

I selected the beautiful, scintillating sunstone to accompany it, in hopes of capturing the Sun’s warmth and energy to carry with us throughout our day (especially as the season changes and we see less and less of her).
